TIPS FOR PLANNING YOUR DAY

1.  Do your planning for the day at the same time every day.
2.  Begin with the end in mind.  Do you have a clear picture of what
you are trying to accomplish for any task or project?
3.  Block some time for yourself.  This time can be used to relax, think,
or make up some time missed because of some unexpected event.
4.  Make a "TO DO" list of what you have to do each day.
Separate your tasks into 1's, 2's and 3's ("1" being the most important items,
"2" being next most important, and "3" items would be nice to complete
but are not critical if left undone for a later time).
5.  Do the most important things (your number "1" items) first each day.
6.  Have a checklist to cross off items/task as you complete them each day.
7.  Use only one form of planner to keep track of everything that you have do.
8.  Always expect "voice mail" when you telephone someone,
and have an appropriate message ready that asks the other person
to take some specific action.
9.  Once in a while, block your week into half hour segments
and enter what you do during these times throughout the week.
At the end of the week, evaluate how you are using your time.
10.  Your goals should be specific and in writing.
Look at your goals throughout the day to help you focus on what is most important.
